Bet on MLB Baseball with Baltimore Orioles at Boston Red Sox

It’s amazing what a good and well balanced attack can do, it has certainly helped the Baltimore Orioles break free from their recent road funk. They’ll look for a similar effort Wednesday night as they visit the Boston Rex Sox in the second of a three-game series at Fenway Park. The team were able to overcome Jim Johnson’s first blown save of the season with two runs in the 10th inning of an 8-6 triumph in Tuesday’s series opener.

Eight of the Baltimore nine starters managed to get a hit in the victory, while seven finished with at least one RBI. That kind of top-to-bottom support would undoubtedly please Wednesday starter Wei-Yin Chen, who has hit a rough patch after opening the season with a 4-0 mark. He'll oppose Boston right-hander Josh Beckett, who appears to be back on track after a rough outing nearly a month ago.

The Boston Rex Sox opened as -170 favorites as seen in several online sports book sites, at Sportsbook.com MLB baseball betting is a whole different experience, check them out for the odds!

Pitching Match Up: Orioles LH Wei-Yin Chen (Orioles LH 4-2, 3.75 ERA) VS Josh Beckett ( Red Sox 4-5, 4.26)
Chen managed to transition to the major league in a very smooth manner, as he won four of his first seven starts while allowing two runs or fewer five times in that stretch. It’s a different story with his last three outings, with the Taiwanese lefty going 0-2 with a 7.31 ERA in that span. Chen has seen the Red Sox once before, settling for a no-decision after allowing four runs over five innings in a game the Orioles went on to win 6-4.

The improved pitching skill of Beckett played a major part in Boston’s resurgence. The veteran hurler has allowed just seven runs over his past four starts, with the Red Sox going 3-1 in that span. Beckett wasn't as sharp last time out, charged with four runs on 10 hits over seven innings in a 7-3 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Tigers. The 32-year-old is 7-5 with a 4.25 ERA in 18 career starts against the Orioles. He hasn't faced them in 2012.

MLB Baseball betting tips:
• Red Sox C Jarrod Saltalamacchia leads all major-league catchers with 11 home runs.
• Prior to Tuesday, Johnson had converted 25 straight save opportunities dating back to Aug. 8 of last season.
